Named: Wightbred’s Toolkit
A downloadable Toolkit
This Named Toolkit is an expanded version of the Named Summary.
You should look at the Named Summary before you download this, as it includes the core approach and all the best ideas worth stealing in this document. If you want to borrow from Named or to play in one of our games, it is very likely that the Named Summary has everything you need.
This document is a 267 page toolkit or framework than a complete ‘roleplaying game system’. Named is intended to be an adaptable and flexible toolkit to support the specific way we like to roleplay, which has been written up help us remember the optional tools and techniques we have created.
This longer toolkit is useful if:
- You want to dig deeper into ideas in the Named Summary that intrigued you, and reading longer explanations of the key tools, detailed world-building, and how we evolved Named sounds weirdly intriguing.
- You want to read a few new options for Named to get your own ideas flowing like more complicated magic, alternative resolution, additional techniques.
- You like the idea of a flexible toolkit to play exactly the way you want, and this might encourage and support you to make and evolve your own.
This final version is also available as a print copy at present. Details in this update.
